Quality
Quality is a big issue, but it’s often about the little things. It’s the combination of these little things that makes all the difference.
Things you don’t see, such as using 90×45 timber (instead of 90×35) and triple nailing it rather than using a single nail. Or bolting frames to the slab rather than using the less reliable concrete nails. We also fix wall wrap insulation between frames and brickwork, ensuring better temperature control.
We take pride in our work and use new-fashioned finishes and products whilst building with an old-fashioned approach to quality. In many cases, you could say our homes are over-engineered… but we like them that way. We aren’t in a race to build them cheaper or faster, because we build each and every home as if we were going to move in ourselves. That means we make sure they’re built to last and finished impeccably.
What this all equates to is fine homes which provide more long term enjoyment for occupants and better financial returns for homeowners and investors alike.
We not only manage the entire building process, we physically perform the vast majority of the construction and fitout work ourselves.
That means we have complete control, and aren’t reliant on trusting a subcontractor to operate to our same high quality standards. In many building environments, having lots of different parties leads to buck passing. With us, we perform the work and our reputation is on the line for every part of that. It also means working as a small team, we can operate very efficiently with no distractions from other jobs.
Our ‘hands on’ approach even includes building the frames and trusses on-site. This allows us to work to a higher standard of both timber and fixing, while still keeping costs competitive – which means a superior result for our customers. Working together day in and day out, we’ve got our efficiency to a level that means we only take an extra day to frame up a home compared to the time taken to assemble pre-fabricated frames (and with a better end result).
Because we ‘buy, build, sell’, we have a vested interest in the finished outcome of a quality-produced home, and we manage the end-to-end process with this in mind. Our reputation for quality has been established through this commitment.
